01Introduction
JURIX LEGAL TECH CORPORATE SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED. (“Jurix”, “we”, “us”) operates a legal-access platform connecting consumers with verified legal professionals. By using Jurix, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We act as a data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We process personal data on the basis of your consent or other lawful grounds. Consent is requested through a clear affirmative action, is specific to the purposes described below, is never bundled or pre-ticked, and can be withdrawn at any time as easily as it was given.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email, phone number and password.
- Case information — documents, descriptions and files you submit for a matter.
- Verification data — for lawyers, bar council ID and KYC documents.
- Payment details — processed securely by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser and usage data.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Approximate location derived from your IP address.
03How We Use Your Information
- To help you browse the verified advocate directory and coordinate your case once you choose an advocate.
- To operate, maintain and improve the platform and AI assistance.
- To process platform fees and subscriptions (advocate fees are handled directly between you and your advocate).
- To send service updates, reminders and security alerts.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
04Sharing & Disclosure
We share information only as needed to deliver the service:
- Professionals you choose — the advocate you select, and clerks and coordinators working on your case under that advocate.
- Service providers — vetted processors for hosting, payments and communications.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
05Data Security
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging and continuous monitoring. Learn more on our Trust & Security page. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information. In the event of a personal-data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act and Rules.
06Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access, correct, complete or update your personal data.
- Request erasure of your account and data.
- Withdraw consent or object to certain processing — as easily as you gave it.
- Nominate a representative to exercise these rights on your behalf.
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer.
To exercise any right, email our Grievance Officer at grievance@jurix.in. We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and resolve grievances within 90 days, in line with the DPDP Act, 2023.
07Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements. Case records may be retained for statutory limitation periods.
08Children's Privacy
Jurix is not directed to individuals under 18. Where we knowingly process a child's data, we obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian and do not undertake tracking or behavioural advertising directed at children. We do not otherwise knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
